I met Rueben from HEP today concerning a tune-up for my water heater. Because of the age of my water heater, 25 years, and the fact it was working perfectly, I decided due to the valve being plastic and a fear of breaking it not to do the tune-up. Rueben agreed and was kind enough give me a quote on replacing the water heater and showed me a product to keep my drain lines clear. Very nice person and very thorough in his explanation of all that HEP could offer us. Great company and great employees. I also had Zac and Adam replace two bathroom switches, as well as, install a LED light fixture in the shower. They also replaced three outside lights that we had been needing replaced for years. Great young men and are valuable asset to your company. I called HEP at 11:00 a.m., and spoke to a very nice young lady concerning a strong odor of methane gas in our laundry room and upstairs bathroom. She said a plumber would be at my house between 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. today. I received a call at 1:15 p.m. saying the plumbers were on their way. They were here by 1:40 p.m. I met two young who both were named Shaun. They were from our first handshake to our goodbye cordial, congenial, and very knowledgeable. Extremely professional young men. The moment they walked into the bathroom with the strong methane odor they knew what was wrong by asking one question. How often do you run that shower? When I told them rarely, they told me exactly what was wrong. The water in the trap for the shower had evaporated from lack of use and that was allowing the sewer gas that is normally blocked by the water in the trap to leak out of the shower drain. After a few flushes of the toilet and some running of water in the shower, my problem was solved. They took the time to clean out the shower drain and they were finished. I bought the Service Plan because of their honesty and their wonderful demeanor. Shaun and Shaun are credits to your company in many ways. I will use your company again in the future because of this visit. Thank you.

Even modest homes can contain dozens of light points. Replacing outdated lamps with LEDs that consume 75–80% less energy translates into measurable savings month after month.

Enhanced Safety and Aging-in-Place Considerations

Bright, evenly dispersed illumination reduces trip hazards, especially for older adults. Tunable white fixtures can also align with circadian rhythms, contributing to better sleep and overall well-being.

Commercial and Industrial Upgrades: Productivity Meets Performance

Offices and Professional Spaces

In an office environment, lighting quality heavily influences employee productivity and comfort. Glare-free, flicker-free fixtures with a high color rendering index (CRI) create a visually comfortable workspace that reduces eye strain.

Retail and Hospitality Venues

Merchandise displays rely on color accuracy and dynamic contrast. HEP Company helps retailers in Johnson City boost sales by spotlighting product features. Restaurants and hotels leverage custom ambiance to elevate guest experience.

Warehouses and Manufacturing Plants

High ceilings and expansive floor areas require specialized solutions:

  • LED high-bay fixtures with narrow or wide beam distributions
  • Motion sensors tailored for long aisles
  • Robust housings that withstand dust, humidity, and temperature fluctuations

Institutional Facilities

Schools, hospitals, and municipal buildings benefit from compliance with strict lighting and safety codes. Upgrades in these environments focus on comfort, cost control, and long operational life.

LED Retrofit: The Cornerstone of Modern Lighting

How LED Technology Works

Light-emitting diodes convert electrical energy directly into photons without relying on fragile filaments or toxic gas. This solid-state architecture translates to:

  • 25,000–100,000-hour rated lifespans
  • Minimal infrared and ultraviolet radiation
  • Instant-on performance with no flicker

Financial and Environmental Returns

An LED retrofit can produce a payback period of two to five years, thanks to:

  • Lower kilowatt-hour consumption
  • Diminished HVAC load due to reduced heat output
  • Decreased lamp replacement and maintenance labor

Smart Controls: Future-Proofing Johnson City Lighting

The Evolution of Lighting Management

Traditional wall switches are rapidly giving way to interconnected control ecosystems. HEP Company integrates the following technologies:

  • Wireless mesh networks for large facilities
  • Zigbee and Bluetooth control nodes for retrofits
