I met Rueben from HEP today concerning a tune-up for my water heater. Because of the age of my water heater, 25 years, and the fact it was working perfectly, I decided due to the valve being plastic and a fear of breaking it not to do the tune-up. Rueben agreed and was kind enough give me a quote on replacing the water heater and showed me a product to keep my drain lines clear. Very nice person and very thorough in his explanation of all that HEP could offer us. Great company and great employees. I also had Zac and Adam replace two bathroom switches, as well as, install a LED light fixture in the shower. They also replaced three outside lights that we had been needing replaced for years. Great young men and are valuable asset to your company. I called HEP at 11:00 a.m., and spoke to a very nice young lady concerning a strong odor of methane gas in our laundry room and upstairs bathroom. She said a plumber would be at my house between 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. today. I received a call at 1:15 p.m. saying the plumbers were on their way. They were here by 1:40 p.m. I met two young who both were named Shaun. They were from our first handshake to our goodbye cordial, congenial, and very knowledgeable. Extremely professional young men. The moment they walked into the bathroom with the strong methane odor they knew what was wrong by asking one question. How often do you run that shower? When I told them rarely, they told me exactly what was wrong. The water in the trap for the shower had evaporated from lack of use and that was allowing the sewer gas that is normally blocked by the water in the trap to leak out of the shower drain. After a few flushes of the toilet and some running of water in the shower, my problem was solved. They took the time to clean out the shower drain and they were finished. I bought the Service Plan because of their honesty and their wonderful demeanor. Shaun and Shaun are credits to your company in many ways. I will use your company again in the future because of this visit. Thank you.

Adam came today to install some new lighting in our kitchen. The previous owners decided to DIY a hideous LED light fixture that had been torturing us with strobe lighting for over a year. We got some new track lights at Lowe’s and called HEP they called us the next day and the day after Adam came out and installed the new fixtures in about two hours. He did a great job and even fixed the orientation of the light switches which are also DIY and backwards. Definitely will use HEP for all our electric needs in the future!

Expert Electrical Lighting Upgrades in Kodak by HEP

Upgrading a lighting system is no longer a simple matter of swapping a bulb or replacing a fixture. Modern electrical lighting upgrades involve integrated control systems, energy-efficient technologies, and a forward-thinking design philosophy that maximizes both functionality and aesthetic appeal. HEP, a leading electrical services provider headquartered in East Tennessee, brings a comprehensive lighting upgrade service to residential, commercial, and industrial properties in Kodak. By aligning advanced electrical expertise with deep local knowledge, HEP delivers projects that improve safety, efficiency, and visual comfort while also providing long-term operational benefits.

Why Lighting Upgrades Matter in Kodak

Kodak is known for its blend of vibrant commercial centers, established neighborhoods, and scenic rural properties. Each setting presents unique lighting challenges and opportunities:

  • Residential homes require warm, inviting illumination that accentuates architectural features while limiting energy consumption.
  • Retail and hospitality venues depend on lighting to guide customers, highlight products, and build memorable experiences.
  • Warehouses, agricultural buildings, and manufacturing facilities depend on reliable brightness levels to maintain productivity and keep workers safe.

HEP’s lighting upgrade service answers all these demands through an integrated process that begins with a careful assessment and ends with expertly tuned fixtures and controls. By leveraging modern LED technology, smart sensors, and balanced lighting design, HEP ensures every luminaire installed contributes to the client’s objectives—whether that means enhanced curb appeal, reduced maintenance, or code compliance.

HEP’s Holistic Lighting Upgrade Process

Delivering optimal lighting involves more than installing new bulbs. HEP follows a structured, step-by-step process that guarantees consistent results and minimizes disruption to daily life or business operations.

Step 1 – On-Site Evaluation and Lighting Audit

Every lighting upgrade starts with a detailed audit. HEP’s licensed electricians measure existing light levels (lux), evaluate fixture condition, and document voltage readings. They also:

  • Map lighting zones and control points
  • Note occupancy patterns and daily usage schedules
  • Identify code deficiencies or safety hazards
  • Capture photographs for reference and documentation

These datasets allow HEP to recommend precise fixture types, wattages, and control strategies that fit each zone’s unique needs.

Step 2 – Energy Modeling and ROI Projection

HEP often pairs lighting audits with robust energy modeling. Using proprietary software, the team predicts:

  • Annual kilowatt-hour reduction
  • Expected maintenance savings due to longer lamp life
  • Potential rebate or incentive eligibility from local utilities

By quantifying savings, property owners and facility managers can prioritize high-impact upgrades while maintaining budget discipline.

Step 3 – Design and Product Selection

Modern lighting design requires a balance of efficiency, longevity, and visual quality. HEP’s lighting designers and engineers collaborate to select:

  • High-efficacy LED fixtures
  • Compatible dimming drivers and controls
  • Color rendering index (CRI) values that enhance ambiance and visibility
  • Correlated color temperature (CCT) levels tailored to each environment

HEP sources products with proven track records from reputable manufacturers, ensuring warranty support and consistent performance.

Step 4 – Turnkey Installation and Project Management

Coordinating a lighting upgrade can impact everything from operating hours to security protocols. HEP mitigates disruption by:

  • Scheduling work during off-peak hours whenever feasible
  • Employing fully stocked service vehicles to prevent delays
  • Maintaining rigorous job-site safety standards
  • Coordinating inspections to expedite local jurisdiction approvals

From removing outdated fluorescent troffers to installing contemporary architectural LED fixtures, HEP manages each phase of the project in-house. This single-contractor approach simplifies communication and ensures accountability.

Step 5 – Commissioning and Fine-Tuning

After installation, HEP commissions every system. The process includes:

  • Verifying light levels with calibrated meters
  • Configuring occupancy sensors and daylight harvesting controls
