  • Adherence to OSHA guidelines for ladder use, elevated work platforms, and personal protective equipment

By meticulously documenting every phase—load analysis, photometric simulation, fixture schedule, and as-built drawings—HEP ensures projects pass inspections swiftly and avoid costly rework.

The HEP Lighting Upgrade Process in Kodak

1. On-Site Assessment

An HEP lighting specialist conducts a detailed walkthrough. Light levels are measured at multiple points to assess uniformity. Existing fixture wattage, mounting height, and control methods are logged. Utility bills are reviewed to quantify baseline consumption.

2. Design & Proposal

After analyzing data, HEP drafts a lighting layout and selects optimal fixtures. Energy savings projections, payback timelines, and recommended control strategies are compiled into a comprehensive proposal for property owners to review.

3. Scheduling & Logistics

HEP coordinates installation schedules that minimize disruption. For 24-hour facilities, crews may work overnight or in phased zones, ensuring business continuity. All materials are staged in advance, and disposal plans for outdated lamps and ballasts are prepared in accordance with environmental regulations.

4. Installation & Commissioning

Certified electricians remove legacy fixtures, install new luminaires, wire control modules, and program schedules. Upon completion, lux or foot-candle readings verify that target light levels are achieved. Controls undergo functional testing to confirm occupancy detection, daylight response, and remote access.

5. Post-Installation Optimization

HEP performs a post-installation audit 30–60 days later, fine-tuning dimming thresholds and verifying that utility bills reflect projected savings. End-users receive operational training for any control interfaces.
