Adam came today to install some new lighting in our kitchen. The previous owners decided to DIY a hideous LED light fixture that had been torturing us with strobe lighting for over a year. We got some new track lights at Lowe’s and called HEP they called us the next day and the day after Adam came out and installed the new fixtures in about two hours. He did a great job and even fixed the orientation of the light switches which are also DIY and backwards. Definitely will use HEP for all our electric needs in the future!

Cookeville continues to grow as a center for education, healthcare, distribution, and technology. New construction and renovation projects dot the skyline, yet many buildings still rely on outdated lighting systems that drain energy budgets and limit functionality. HEP specializes in electrical lighting upgrades that transform these environments with advanced, energy-efficient solutions tailored for Cookeville’s diverse residential, commercial, and industrial properties. By pairing licensed electricians with lighting-design expertise, HEP delivers retrofits that improve illumination quality while reducing long-term operational costs.

Why Lighting Upgrades Matter for Cookeville Homes and Businesses

Energy Consumption in Putnam County

Electricity rates fluctuate, but one fact is constant: lighting often accounts for 15–40 % of a building’s total power usage. In Cookeville, where seasonal humidity and temperature swings already strain HVAC systems, eliminating waste in the lighting load offers a fast, measurable way to offset rising utility bills. Upgrading from fluorescent or high-pressure sodium to LED technology can cut lighting energy use by up to 70 %, freeing capacity for other electrical demands.
