What our customers say

The guys from HEP did a great job installing my Carrier HVAC unit. They took their time and made sure everything was done right. They asked me several times if I thought everything looked good throughout the install. There will be a inspection technician that will come out to do a follow-up to make sure the job was done properly, check the unit, and make sure the thermostat is working correctly. Everyone that I talked to from HEP was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend using this company. Thank you for your service! Jody Technician came out the next day and checked the unit and all the work performed. All employees seem to care about the customers.

My HVAC system went down on a late Saturday night and i called HEP right away. They were calm and friendly on the phone, which allowed for us to get a tech out to my home. Justin came to my house at 7pm and did not leave until the problem was solved in every aspect of my issue at 11:30pm. I currently have a pregnant wife and he understood we needed to get air moving again. We worked late into the night to make sure we could have cool flowing air for the night. Once the job was completed for the day, he came back a second day to install new wiring within the home for the thermostat to the HVAC. He found and fixed previous issues from the prior homeowner and left my home better than how he found it. I am extremely appreciative of Justin and if you call HEP around the Knoxville area, I will request him in a heartbeat if I ever have any more issues and I think you should to. Thank you, Justin for your help and expertise.

Why Thermostat Upgrades Matter for Wartburg Homes

Modern heating and air conditioning systems depend on accurate temperature control to deliver comfort without wasting energy. In Wartburg, where seasonal swings can be dramatic—icy mornings in January followed by muggy afternoons in July—a reliable, responsive thermostat is the brain of every HVAC setup. Upgrading that brain delivers immediate and noticeable advantages, from utility-bill savings to steadier indoor temperatures.

The Thermostat’s Role in HVAC Efficiency

A thermostat senses indoor conditions, compares them with the setpoint, and signals the HVAC equipment to cycle on or off. Older mercury or basic digital units often misread room temperature by several degrees, causing the system to run longer than needed. A modern thermostat, properly installed and calibrated, trims that margin of error to a fraction of a degree and synchronizes run-times with real-time conditions.

Unique Climate Considerations in Wartburg

Wartburg’s elevation and topography create quick shifts between cool valley nights and sun-warmed afternoons. An outdated thermostat struggles to track these changes, frequently overshooting target temperatures. Upgrading to a smart or advanced programmable model allows homeowners to adapt schedules automatically for morning chill, midday warmth, and evening cool-downs, keeping comfort seamless from dawn to dusk.

Benefits of Upgrading Your Heating and AC Thermostat
