What our customers say

The guys from HEP did a great job installing my Carrier HVAC unit. They took their time and made sure everything was done right. They asked me several times if I thought everything looked good throughout the install. There will be a inspection technician that will come out to do a follow-up to make sure the job was done properly, check the unit, and make sure the thermostat is working correctly. Everyone that I talked to from HEP was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend using this company. Thank you for your service! Jody Technician came out the next day and checked the unit and all the work performed. All employees seem to care about the customers.

My HVAC system went down on a late Saturday night and i called HEP right away. They were calm and friendly on the phone, which allowed for us to get a tech out to my home. Justin came to my house at 7pm and did not leave until the problem was solved in every aspect of my issue at 11:30pm. I currently have a pregnant wife and he understood we needed to get air moving again. We worked late into the night to make sure we could have cool flowing air for the night. Once the job was completed for the day, he came back a second day to install new wiring within the home for the thermostat to the HVAC. He found and fixed previous issues from the prior homeowner and left my home better than how he found it. I am extremely appreciative of Justin and if you call HEP around the Knoxville area, I will request him in a heartbeat if I ever have any more issues and I think you should to. Thank you, Justin for your help and expertise.

Importance of Thermostat Upgrades for Belvidere Homes and Businesses

Belvidere experiences hot, humid summers and frigid winters typical of Northern Illinois, which places a year-round demand on heating and air conditioning systems. In this climate, a thermostat functions as the nerve center of HVAC performance. An outdated or malfunctioning unit can trigger uneven temperatures, higher energy bills, and unnecessary strain on mechanical components. Upgrading the thermostat delivers immediate control enhancements and long-term operational benefits that align perfectly with the comfort needs of Boone County property owners.

Climate Characteristics of Belvidere Affecting Thermostat Performance

Belvidere’s seasonal extremes amplify the importance of precise indoor climate management:

  • Summer highs routinely exceed 85 °F, driving cooling loads.
  • Winter lows frequently drop below 15 °F, intensifying heating demands.
  • Rapid spring and autumn temperature swings increase system cycling frequency.
  • Relative humidity often fluctuates between 20 % and 90 %, impacting perceived comfort.

A modern thermostat adapts to these fluctuations faster and more accurately than legacy devices, ensuring consistent indoor temperatures without wasteful energy spikes.

Energy Consumption Trends in Boone County

Residential electricity usage in Boone County continues to climb due to device proliferation and lifestyle shifts, while gas consumption rises with expanding square footage.
