What our customers say

The guys from HEP did a great job installing my Carrier HVAC unit. They took their time and made sure everything was done right. They asked me several times if I thought everything looked good throughout the install. There will be a inspection technician that will come out to do a follow-up to make sure the job was done properly, check the unit, and make sure the thermostat is working correctly. Everyone that I talked to from HEP was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend using this company. Thank you for your service! Jody Technician came out the next day and checked the unit and all the work performed. All employees seem to care about the customers.

My HVAC system went down on a late Saturday night and i called HEP right away. They were calm and friendly on the phone, which allowed for us to get a tech out to my home. Justin came to my house at 7pm and did not leave until the problem was solved in every aspect of my issue at 11:30pm. I currently have a pregnant wife and he understood we needed to get air moving again. We worked late into the night to make sure we could have cool flowing air for the night. Once the job was completed for the day, he came back a second day to install new wiring within the home for the thermostat to the HVAC. He found and fixed previous issues from the prior homeowner and left my home better than how he found it. I am extremely appreciative of Justin and if you call HEP around the Knoxville area, I will request him in a heartbeat if I ever have any more issues and I think you should to. Thank you, Justin for your help and expertise.

Why Thermostat Upgrades Matter for Georgetown Homes

Georgetown residents enjoy a unique mix of hot summers, crisp winters, and occasional swings in temperature that can happen within the same week. This variety makes an accurate, responsive thermostat more than a luxury—it is central to indoor comfort, system longevity, and energy efficiency. HEP’s dedicated thermostat upgrade service addresses the specific demands of Georgetown’s climate while elevating comfort for every household.

Traditional mercury or basic digital thermostats often lack the sophistication required to keep pace with modern HVAC equipment. They struggle with precise temperature control, produce uneven heating or cooling cycles, and can waste energy by running systems when they are not needed. By upgrading with HEP, homeowners gain direct control over their environments, harnessing advanced algorithms, smarter sensors, and intuitive interfaces tailored to Georgetown’s changing weather patterns.

Understanding Modern Thermostat Technology

Smart Thermostats vs. Programmable Units

While both smart and programmable thermostats provide scheduling features, their capabilities differ in critical ways:

  • Smart thermostats learn user behavior through machine learning, automatically adjusting settings.
  • Programmable units rely entirely on predefined schedules set by the homeowner.
  • Smart models often include remote access via mobile apps, voice control, and integration with other smart home devices.
  • Energy reporting is typically robust on smart devices, giving clear insights into consumption patterns.
