What our customers say

My HVAC system went down on a late Saturday night and i called HEP right away. They were calm and friendly on the phone, which allowed for us to get a tech out to my home. Justin came to my house at 7pm and did not leave until the problem was solved in every aspect of my issue at 11:30pm. I currently have a pregnant wife and he understood we needed to get air moving again. We worked late into the night to make sure we could have cool flowing air for the night. Once the job was completed for the day, he came back a second day to install new wiring within the home for the thermostat to the HVAC. He found and fixed previous issues from the prior homeowner and left my home better than how he found it. I am extremely appreciative of Justin and if you call HEP around the Knoxville area, I will request him in a heartbeat if I ever have any more issues and I think you should to. Thank you, Justin for your help and expertise.

My nest Stat went out and I tried to fix it myself but couldn’t figure it out. Called HEP and they gave me a time frame of 1:00pm-6:00pm same day. They called me back at 5:00pm to let me know it would be around 7:00pm. I was 2 days with no A/C so waiting an extra hour wasn’t really an issue for me. Steve showed up and gave me a solution to my problem within 20 minutes, but he also temporarily fixed my unit Until I could get a new thermostat unit because the stat I had was faulty. He also walked me through some basic maintenance I could perform to help my HVAC run smoothly. Steve was Professional, honest and friendly! Finding that trio is almost impossible this day and age. All in all Steve is the Bob Ross of professionalism and deserves recognition for his craft. Thank you!

The Importance of Modern Thermostat Upgrades in Sequatchie Homes

Sequatchie’s rolling terrain and mixed seasonal patterns create a unique challenge for indoor comfort. Summer days can be intensely warm and humid, while winter nights dip below freezing. In many homes and businesses, legacy thermostats struggle to compensate for such dramatic swings, leading to uneven temperatures, oversized energy bills, and unnecessary strain on heating and air conditioning equipment. HEP recognizes that upgrading the thermostat is one of the most effective ways to elevate HVAC performance, reduce costs, and protect long-term system health.

Sequatchie’s Unique Climate Demands Precise Temperature Control

Residents experience:

  • Rapid fluctuations between day and night temperatures
  • High summer humidity levels that linger late into the evening
  • Occasional winter cold snaps combined with damp conditions

A thermostat capable of fine-tuned sensing and intelligent decision-making responds faster to these shifts, preventing over-cycling and maintaining a consistent indoor environment.

Energy Efficiency Starts at the Thermostat

Every heating or cooling cycle originates with a signal from the thermostat. If that signal is delayed, inaccurate, or based on outdated parameters, the HVAC system wastes energy. A modern, smart thermostat:

  • Learns user routines and adjusts setpoints automatically
  • Utilizes geofencing to avoid conditioning an empty building
  • Balances run times with real-time weather data

The result is measurable energy savings, often achieved without any noticeable change in comfort.
