I have used these guys and it is always a great experience. My air conditioning went out and they came same day which was unbelievable. Richard and Patrick really went out of their way to help me. These guys even shut my windows for me. 5 stars are just not enough for these 2 guys. I can't say enough for them and this company!

Ronald and Aavi were on top of it from the moment they texted me they were on their way to the final cleanup and closing. They wasted no time getting busy and had the old system removed and the new one installed before I knew it. Michael, with QA/Safety, dropped by to make sure everything was going good and safe. Very professional, exceptional communication, and the finishing touch to the outside unit was above and beyond expectation. Kudo to Chase for quoting me a system that was almost half the price of another Knoxville company. It is a great day when HEP is on the way!

HEP won the low bid on a series of HVAC installs. One of which was in the house that I rent. Having been the low bid, I was expecting HEP to be cutting corners at every opportunity. But to my surprise, they worked on the install as if they were working on their own homes. Careful attention was made to detail and no corners cut. I was pleasantly surprised. I had recently sold a Condo in Louisiana before moving to Tennessee. It had a cheap HVAC system. So I know what one looks like. The system the HEP installers installed here was not one. A lot of time was taken to install it correctly. Jeremy, Ronnie and Aavi were expert installers. I highly recommend HEP for an HVAC system. You'll get a competitive price for a system expertly installed.

Travis and manager Jeremy came out to work on an ongoing complicated issue since install. They were very professional and have been working hard to resolve the issue. Just after the first phase they have reinstalled the first mini split system and took extra steps to narrow down the issue. Very happy with the progress so far and feel like the problem will get resolved. They will be returning to resolve the second mini split issue.

My HVAC went out this summer and Jeremy and James came out to replace it for me. They did such a great job. Usually my dad helps with a lot of these type of problems but he had covid and he was so worried the job wouldn’t get done right. They gave me a fair price and even though it was a very difficult install due to the layout of my attic and whatnot they got the job done without damaging anything. My indoor and outdoor unit areas looked 10x better when they left. Jeremy tested everything extensively and told me all about everything he was doing. He said he has never gotten a call back and I wouldn’t be his first one which made my dad feel very comforted. The unit has been in for several months working perfectly.

We had HEP install our a/c units a few years ago and we’re been very happy with the quality and responsiveness of their work. We had an issue with our a/c today and Richard was able to accommodate us in getting a technician out asap. This is exactly what fantastic customer service looks like and we appreciate HEP immensely.

The community in Sweetwater enjoys warm summers, brisk winters, and plenty of seasonal shifts in between. Reliable heating and cooling is not a luxury here—it is a non-negotiable requirement for maintaining daily comfort, protecting property, and ensuring healthy indoor air. HEP delivers comprehensive heating and air conditioning services that keep Sweetwater homes and businesses operating smoothly throughout the year. From precise installations to preventative maintenance and rapid repairs, each HVAC solution is built around the region’s unique climate, building styles, and energy demands.

Why Professional HVAC Care Matters in Sweetwater’s Climate

Sweetwater’s weather can pivot quickly, placing a heavy workload on air conditioners during the summer and heating systems in winter. Fluctuations in humidity intensify the need for systems that are calibrated correctly, sealed tightly, and optimized for energy efficiency. When HVAC equipment is professionally serviced, it consistently:

  • Maintains safe indoor temperatures even during heatwaves or cold snaps

  • UV germicidal lamps positioned within the evaporator section
  • Whole-house dehumidifiers paired to the HVAC blower
  • Fresh-air ventilators to balance indoor and outdoor air exchange

Heating Services Tailored to Sweetwater Winters

While summer calls for strong cooling power, winter introduces different challenges that require robust, reliable heating solutions. HEP understands Sweetwater’s cooler months and builds service plans that keep interior spaces comfortably warm without inflating energy consumption.

Furnace and Heat Pump Expertise

Whether a home uses a gas furnace, an electric furnace, or a modern heat pump, HEP provides technical proficiency that covers:

  • Safe heat exchanger inspections to detect cracks or leaks
  • Combustion analysis for optimal fuel-to-air ratios
  • Heat pump defrost cycle calibration for cold-weather efficiency

Signs Your HVAC System Needs Professional Attention

Recognizing early warning signs minimizes the risk of inconvenient breakdowns and helps maintain healthy indoor conditions.

Indicators from Your Air Conditioner

  • Inconsistent room temperatures even with the thermostat set correctly
  • Unusual noises—clanking, buzzing, or screeching—during operation
  • Noticeable humidity despite the AC running
  • Higher-than-normal electric bills without increased usage
  • Frequent on-off cycling, known as short-cycling

Red Flags from Your Heating System

  • Burning odors that persist beyond initial seasonal startup
  • Cold spots in rooms farthest from the furnace or heat pump
  • Pilot light or ignition issues leading to repeated restarts
  • Visible soot on vent registers or around furnace access panels
  • An unexplained increase in fuel or electricity consumption

The HEP Approach to HVAC System Longevity

Staying comfortable year-round does not always require brand-new equipment. HEP focuses on proactive steps that maximize system lifespan while keeping performance high.

Customized Service Plans

Not every Sweetwater property has the same needs. HEP tailors service plans around:

  • Age and brand of existing equipment
  • Hours of daily operation
  • Household size and lifestyle factors
  • Budget considerations for upgrades or replacements

Seasonal System Checklists

Each change of season triggers specific inspections:

  • Spring: Clear debris from outdoor condenser units, verify refrigerant charge
  • Summer: Inspect insulation on refrigerant lines, monitor system pressures under heavy load
  • Fall: Replace furnace filters, test safety controls and limit switches
  • Winter: Verify auxiliary heat operation on heat pumps, confirm defrost cycles

Benefits of Regular HVAC Maintenance in Sweetwater

Improved Comfort and Consistency

Clean coils, calibrated thermostats, and balanced airflow prevent the hot/cold stagnation zones that many Sweetwater homeowners experience in open-concept layouts or multi-story residences.

Lower Energy Consumption

A well-maintained system does not struggle to achieve set temperatures, resulting in:

  • Reduced runtime
  • Less start-stop cycling
  • Minimized peak demand charges

Enhanced Equipment Lifespan

Routine inspections catch small problems before they escalate. Replacing a $10 capacitor today, for example, may avoid a $1,200 compressor replacement later.

HEP’s Process from First Inspection to Final System Optimization

In-Depth System Evaluation

A first visit focuses on gathering data:

  • Current system capacity versus load calculations
  • Duct leakage testing with calibrated equipment
  • Static pressure readings to spot airflow restrictions

Transparent Plan Development

After compiling results, HEP crafts an action plan outlining:

  • Immediate repairs required to restore safe operation
  • Recommended upgrades that provide measurable energy savings
  • Optional enhancements for IAQ or smart controls

Post-Service Optimization and Monitoring

Once work is complete, technicians verify performance through:

  • Temperature split measurements across coils
  • Airflow readings at key registers
  • Refrigerant subcooling and superheat checks

The Role of Indoor Air Quality in Your Health and Home Comfort

Sources of Indoor Air Pollution in Sweetwater

While Sweetwater offers fresh outdoor air, indoor environments can accumulate pollutants such as:
