STOP OVERTHINKING AND LET HEP TAKE CARE OF IT! Awesome experience from the first call until the HEP van left the driveway. I called late in the evening and they took my info and tried to get a tech out that night. Unfortunately that did not work (I expected as much), but they had one come out the next morning. Corey did an excellent job answering my questions about the old versus new water heater, relocating it, replacing the old pvc with proper pex and copper, and more. He put together some estimates on the spot and was crucial in helping me decide what would work within my budget and future plans for the house. We scheduled the installation for the next morning, but in about an hour I got a call that a tech was available the same night. Sure enough, Fernando rolled up with a brand new water heater. About 2.5-3hrs later, he had the old busted unit out and a fresh new up to code unit installed exactly how I wanted it. So, a project I thought would take a few days ended up getting resolved in one day. I can't explain how relieving this was while this work blocked ongoing renovations. The whole HEP crew, including Corey and Fernando are LIFESAVERS! I will absolutely use HEP in the future. Thanks again!

Within 1 hour of contacting HEP, Preston arrived, checked, and then confirmed the great news that we needed a new water heater 🤦‍♀️ He went over everything with us, including the Contract. He placed order for a new water heater and explained that it would be delivered and installed in less than 24 hrs by the installation crew. As promised, by 9am this morning, Cody and Dalton arrived and the work began. By 11:30am, the old heater was removed, the new heater installed, they cleaned up and removed all signs of their presence except for a new and functioning water heater. All 3 guys were very personable and exhibited proper training and knowledge of their tasks. We've relied on HEP in the past and would gladly recommend them to anyone in need of their services. Noone Wants repairs to be on their agenda, but it's great to know that with one phone call, HEP is on the way!!😊

We had an issue with our glass shower door. We called HEP and we were placed on their schedule the same day. Our technician, Fernando, was very professional and courteous. He assessed the problem and was able to fix our issue. The field manager, Terry, showed up during the service call. We asked about a few other issues and they suggested some important upgrades/ repairs to our water heater, water system and a toilet. These upgrade and repairs were fully explained to us and their price for the job was acceptable and has been scheduled. We are very pleased with HEP so far and are planning to use them again in the future.

Pure Water, Healthy Home: Professional Water Purification in Kodak

Clean, great-tasting water is more than a luxury—it is a daily necessity for cooking, bathing, cleaning, and safeguarding the health of everyone in a household. In Kodak, fluctuating water conditions and aging infrastructures can introduce sediments, chemicals, and microbes into residential plumbing. HEP’s plumbing water purification service was designed specifically to resolve these regional concerns, delivering safe, crystal-clear water through a seamless integration of modern purification technology and expert plumbing craftsmanship.

Why Water Purification Matters in Kodak

Kodak’s water is supplied through diverse sources that travel long distances in pipes before reaching the tap. Along the way, water can pick up:

  • Naturally occurring minerals that leave hardness deposits
  • Agricultural runoff containing nitrates or phosphates
  • Residual disinfectants that create unpleasant tastes and odors
  • Microscopic pathogens that thrive in warm, moist environments

Although municipal treatment reduces many contaminants, residual impurities often remain by the time water passes through domestic plumbing lines. A professionally engineered purification system, installed and maintained by the HEP team, acts as the final protective barrier between external contaminants and the family members who rely on clean water every day.

Common Water Quality Challenges in the Region

Kodak’s topography and seasonal rainfall patterns present distinct water issues:

  • Elevated iron and manganese staining sinks, tubs, and laundry
  • Seasonal spikes in turbidity after heavy storms
  • Chlorine taste from municipal disinfection processes
  • Sulfur odors in well water pockets near limestone formations
  • Hardness scaling that reduces appliance efficiency

Each home may exhibit a different combination of these challenges. HEP addresses the exact profile for any property, preventing blanket solutions that either underperform or waste resources.

How Plumbing and Purification Work Together

Water purification is only as reliable as the plumbing that delivers it. A poorly fitted pipe or corroded joint can introduce contaminants or reduce system efficiency. HEP’s technicians approach purification and plumbing as an integrated discipline, ensuring that:

  • New filtration components are correctly matched to pipe diameters
  • Bypass valves allow quick maintenance without water service disruption
  • Pressure settings prevent filter rupture and protect fixtures
  • Drain lines for reverse osmosis and softening units are routed securely

The result is a holistic system where each section—from the water main to the kitchen faucet—works in harmony to deliver consistently pure water.

HEP: Trusted Specialists for Complete Water Purification Solutions

A successful water purification project demands more than dropping a filter under the sink. HEP provides an end-to-end service model that removes guesswork and delivers proven water quality improvements.

Comprehensive Assessment and Testing

No two water samples are identical, so HEP begins with a detailed site survey. Certified technicians gather data on:

  • Source specifics (municipal line, shared community well, or private well)
  • Fixture locations and water usage patterns
  • Existing plumbing materials that might contribute contaminants
  • Flow rate requirements based on household occupancy

On-site test kits measure pH, hardness, iron, chlorine, total dissolved solids (TDS), and bacterial presence. More specialized lab analysis can be arranged for lead, arsenic, or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) when needed.

Tailored Purification Strategies

Using test results, HEP engineers select the filtration stages needed to achieve target water quality. Typical combinations include:

  • Sediment pre-filtration to handle turbidity
  • Carbon block media to remove chlorine and odor
  • Ion-exchange resin or salt-free conditioning for hardness control
  • Reverse osmosis for broad-spectrum contaminant reduction
  • Ultraviolet sterilization for biological safety

Each system is configured in a logical sequence that maximizes media life and minimizes maintenance interventions.

Certified Technicians and Quality Materials

HEP’s plumbing professionals hold relevant state licenses and water treatment certifications. During installation, they rely on:

  • NSF/ANSI-certified components to ensure contaminant removal claims
  • Lead-free brass and food-grade plastics
  • Stainless-steel fittings in critical high-pressure sections
  • Manufacturer-approved filtration cartridges and UV lamps

Craftsmanship and material integrity maintain performance levels originally validated during laboratory testing.

Step-By-Step Process of HEP’s Water Purification Service

HEP’s structured workflow promotes transparency and dependable results from initial visit through routine follow-ups.

Initial Consultation and On-Site Evaluation

Technicians discuss household concerns—staining, odor, or health recommendations from medical professionals. A visual walkthrough identifies space constraints, drain access, electrical outlets for UV systems, and ideal main line penetration points.

Detailed Water Analysis

Collected samples undergo immediate field testing. Readings determine if advanced external lab work is advisable. The data forms the baseline for system design and provides a benchmark for verifying purification success post-installation.

System Design and Component Selection

HEP proposes a complete schematic, including:

  • Filter housing placement
  • Tank size for conditioners or whole-house filters
  • Brine line routing for softening units (if used)
  • Power supply routing for UV or smart controllers

Designs anticipate future expansions, such as adding a refrigerator line filter or outdoor bib connection.

Precision Installation and Plumbing Integration

Installation day follows a strict protocol:

  1. Shutoff valves are secured and lines drained to prevent water damage.
  2. Sections of copper or PEX are cut cleanly, deburred, and fitted with expansion joints where thermal movement is expected.
  3. Filter housings are anchored to structural members, preventing strain on plumbing.
  4. Bypass loops are tested to confirm continuous access to water during service intervals.
  5. Systems requiring power are connected to GFCI-protected outlets.

The site is left clean, with tools and packaging removed to the technician’s vehicle.

Post-Installation Validation and Maintenance Guidance

Once water flows through the new system, technicians run performance tests using handheld meters and test strips. Parameters must fall within target ranges established during design. A quick user briefing covers:

  • Proper order of cartridge changes
  • Recommended lamp replacement intervals for UV units
  • Best practices for resetting smart monitors and flushing RO membranes
  • Indicators that one or more stages may require early replacement

Clear documentation, including date tags on filters and a maintenance checklist, is provided for easy reference.

Advanced Technologies Utilized by HEP

Modern purification no longer means bulky equipment wedged into cramped corners. HEP leverages a toolbox of compact, high-efficiency technologies that fit neatly into Kodak homes of every size.

Sediment Filtration for Visible Particulates

Multi-layer depth cartridges capture dirt, sand, and rust particles down to 5 microns. For extreme turbidity, spin-down centrifugal filters offer reusable convenience, trapping larger particles in a transparent housing that can be flushed within seconds.

Activated Carbon for Taste and Odor Improvement

Granular or block carbon stages adsorb chlorine, chloramines, and many industrial chemicals. In Kodak, this stage often produces the most immediately noticeable difference, transforming tap water into a neutral, refreshing beverage.

Reverse Osmosis for Dissolved Contaminants

A semi-permeable membrane rejects up to 99% of dissolved solids, including heavy metals and nitrates. HEP integrates pressurized storage tanks sized to household consumption, preventing flow restrictions at busy sinks.

UV Sterilization for Microbial Safety

Ultraviolet light at 254-nanometer wavelength inactivates bacteria, viruses, and cysts without chemicals. UV chambers are strategically placed after other filtration stages for maximum light penetration.

Smart Monitoring and Remote Alerts

Wi-Fi enabled controllers track:

  • Gallons processed since last maintenance
  • Real-time inlet and outlet pressure differentials
  • Historical water usage patterns

Homeowners receive push notifications when service is due, avoiding guesswork.
