FAQs

What are the benefits of upgrading my toilet to a newer model?

Upgrading to a newer toilet model can offer several benefits, including improved water efficiency, enhanced flushing power, and modern design features such as dual-flush options, comfort-height seating, and sleek, compact structures. New models can save water and money on utility bills while reducing the risk of clogging and increasing ease of use.

How do I know if I need to replace my existing toilet?

You might need to replace your toilet if it frequently clogs, runs continuously, shows cracks in the porcelain, has outdated features, or uses a lot of water per flush. Increased leaks and the presence of mildew or mold around the base are also strong indicators that a replacement is needed.

What is the average cost of replacing a toilet in Mountain City?

The cost of replacing a toilet can vary widely depending on the model chosen and the complexity of the installation. On average, homeowners in Mountain City can expect to spend between $200 and $600 for a standard replacement, including both the cost of the new toilet and professional installation services.

Are there eco-friendly toilet options available?

Yes, there are various eco-friendly toilet options on the market. Water-saving features such as dual-flush systems and low-flow models can significantly reduce water usage. Look for toilets with the WaterSense label, which certifies that they meet the Environmental Protection Agency's criteria for water efficiency.

How long does the installation process typically take?

The installation of a new toilet typically takes about 1 to 2 hours for a professional plumber. This can vary depending on the complexity of the job, such as any necessary plumbing adjustments or repairs. However, professional installers aim to complete the job quickly and efficiently to minimize any inconvenience.

Can I install a new toilet myself or should I hire a professional?

While some homeowners with strong DIY skills may be able to install a toilet themselves, it is generally recommended to hire a professional plumber. Proper installation ensures the toilet operates efficiently and reduces the likelihood of issues such as leaks or improper sealing, avoiding potential costly repairs down the line.

Broke our shower handle off and called HEP. They were able to come out the same day and they were the more affordable option as I had called multiple places. Corbin got us fixed up in a timely manner and was very professional. He explained everything that was wrong, how he was gonna fix it and gave up front pricing. We are pleased with the service received.

I called when my kitchen faucet was so loose I didn’t think I could use it. HEP immediately sent a tech out— within two hours I had help. Amanda was great! She explained to me the problem causing my loose faucet and how to get the structural issue repaired. And she tightened my faucet so I could use it until the repair is made. I also needed a repair to a toilet, which she handled with expertise. It was a most positive experience with Amanda. I highly recommend both HEP and Amanda!

Connor has been wonderful every step of the way. He's been courteous, professional, and upfront with every job he's working on. He's replaced a toilet seat, the inside of one toilet(soon to be two toilets), one bathroom sink, and is in the middle of repairing the pipes for the kitchen sink. The original estimate for the sink didn't end up being the only work that needed to be done, and as soon as he was aware of the work needing to be done, he filled me in and gave me a new quote and will be finishing(hopefully) all the repairs tomorrow (as of when I l wrote this review).
