What our customers say

After having a new hvac system installed yesterday, a quality check was done today by Justin Weld. Not only did he make sure everything was done correctly, but he also fixed the breaker to the furnace that kept tripping (we only noticed it after the installers had already left). Justin was very professional, extremely helpful, and thorough when it came to making sure everything was working properly before he left. Huge thank you to him!!

Connor did good work and made sure the job was done before leaving, he even went and got the parts and stayed late so that we didn't have to wait for the next day for the repair to be complete.

I know that every business has employees but, I want to extend well deserved "Thank You" to Richard W. My home had no heat and, half of my home power was out due to my unit burning a hole in the connections. Richard showed up within an hour once he read my home had no heat. I could have shopped around for quotes but, Richard W answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable, especially when explaining in detail the pricing breakdown. "Thank You" Richard W again, you are the reason I completed this transaction and, I appreciate all the added care you provided to me today in my time of need.

Rarely do we call for service when our day is going well. Suffering both a water leak and electrical issue, HEP was there for me. Julia returned my service request quickly and politely worked me into the schedule as quickly as possible. Adam called before he arrived so I had time to put the dogs away as so often “too many paws slow the progress”. Adam listened to my attempts to describe the issue, then began investigating the complex wiring left by the previous owners. To both of our astonishment, he found a previous electrical box *behind the book shelf*!? Apparently, during a previous renovation, many circuits were bridged from the original to the new panel installed in the garage. Undaunted, Adam quickly found the faulty bridge, ran a new modern connection and new breaker and Ta-da, fixed!! Very, very pleased with the level of service, professionalism and fair cost to have this mystery resolved. Will gladly call on HEP again.

Introduction to Reliable Electrical Repair Work in Kelso

Electrical systems are the silent backbone of every property in Kelso, from compact residential flats near the River Tweed to bustling commercial units on Roxburgh Street. When circuits fail, lights flicker, or outlets overheat, daily routines grind to a halt. HEP company delivers comprehensive electrical repair work throughout Kelso, restoring safety, functionality, and peace of mind. By combining local knowledge with certified expertise, HEP addresses faults quickly and thoroughly, ensuring homes and businesses remain powered, compliant, and efficient.

Why Timely Electrical Repair Matters

Electrical problems rarely improve with time. Small irregularities often signal deeper issues that can escalate into costly damage or hazardous conditions. Prompt intervention by skilled electricians safeguards property and occupants alike.

Safety First

  • Reduces risk of electrical fires linked to overloaded circuits or damaged wiring
  • Prevents electric shock by rectifying faulty grounding and exposed conductors
  • Eliminates hidden hazards that compromise structural integrity, such as arcs within wall cavities

Common Electrical Problems in Kelso Homes and Businesses

Understanding prevalent faults helps property owners recognize early warning signs.

Frequent Power Surges

The local grid can experience transient voltage spikes, damaging sensitive electronics. Surges also stem from faulty appliances drawing irregular current.

Tripping Circuit Breakers

High-demand appliances, such as electric showers, often share circuits unsuited to their load. Combined with aging protective devices, nuisance tripping becomes frequent.

Flickering or Dimming Lights

Voltage drops due to loose neutral connections manifest as fluctuating light output, particularly noticeable with incandescent bulbs.

Overheating Switches and Outlets

Heat indicates resistive connections or undersized conductors. Over time, insulation may char, posing fire risk.

Outdated Aluminum Wiring

Properties built during the 1960s–70s boom in Kelso occasionally feature aluminum circuits prone to oxidation and thermal expansion, leading to loose terminations.

Step-by-Step Overview of an HEP Electrical Repair Visit

A transparent process creates confidence and predictable outcomes.

Initial Consultation and Assessment

Technicians discuss symptoms with occupants, review appliance usage, and inspect breaker panels for visible anomalies.

Detailed Fault Isolation

Using clamp meters and circuit tracers, electricians isolate the faulty branch, documenting readings for future reference.

Transparent Scope of Repair Work

Before tools tackle wiring, clients receive a clear outline of required tasks, materials, and expected timelines.
