Great personal interest in my situation and the solution to the problem. Rick, Will and Chris looked for the best HVAC system at the best price and backed it up with the best warranty. Top of the line quality Carrier! Thanks for the HEP! The sales guy, Rick Lounders, really knows his stuff. I worked in HVAC a while ago and he set me right on a couple of my ideas that would have been very wrong moves. I bought top of the line Carrier heat pumps and a very pleased. Also, the installers, Eddie Hawkins and Tim Sexton, and another guy - forget his name) were very sharp and the finish job looks VERY professional! They answered every question, showed me how everything worked, and cleaned up every scrap. They even wore booties to keep from getting leaves in the house - my wife was all about that. Use me as a reference or display job anytime! Thanks to Chris, too, for helping with the deal. Those Reme Halo UV lights are great. Kevin Stevens did a quick service call for a blown fuse, 4/4 - I was happy with the speed of response & checked everything over in detail. Very nice!

Have used HEP services twice, plumbing and electric. Both repair men were prompt, cleaned up after the job, was pleasant to work with. Got good response/ turn around from the initial call until the job was finished. Even placed at call on Sunday evening. I have a maintance agreement that I pay yearly and plan to renew when it is time. It sure take's the work out of trying to find a reliable service provider.

First of all let me say that every interaction I have had with HEP technicians has been exemplary. This ranges from replacing a hot water heater to general plumbing to general electrical work. Today’s kudos go to Rick (electrician) and Randy (HVAC). Not only did they know what they were talking about (not a given in today’s world) but I felt like they were family before they left. On top of that Allen came back out at 6:30 to write up a quote. One stop shop with high quality. It can’t get better than that.

  • Comprehensive diagnostic processes that locate root causes rather than masking symptoms
  • Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and respect for client property throughout every service call

By emphasizing preventive maintenance and precision craftsmanship, HEP Company creates long-lasting solutions that help Benton property owners avoid future electrical hazards, downtime, and unexpected costs.

Common Electrical Issues in Benton Homes and Businesses

Benton’s varied housing stock ranges from new construction to historic properties. Each era brings its own electrical challenges. HEP Company’s electricians are thoroughly trained to diagnose and repair problems unique to each age group of wiring and equipment.

Aging Infrastructure and Outdated Wiring

Older homes in Benton often contain:

  • Cloth-insulated wiring that has become brittle with age
  • Fuse panels instead of modern breaker systems
  • Ungrounded outlets without the safety of three-prong configurations

These legacy systems can struggle under the electrical load of today’s appliances, HVAC units, and smart home devices. HEP Company routinely upgrades outdated wiring, ensuring consistent power delivery and improved safety.

Overloaded Circuits and Tripped Breakers

Modern households frequently add electronics, lighting, and power-hungry devices without corresponding circuit upgrades. Overloaded circuits can lead to:

  • Frequent breaker trips
  • Warm or discolored outlet covers
  • Intermittent power loss in specific rooms

HEP Company’s electricians calculate proper circuit capacity, redistribute loads, and install new breakers as necessary to restore reliability.

Flickering or Dimming Lights

Light fixtures that flicker may indicate:

  • Loose wiring connections within the fixture or switch
  • Voltage fluctuations from high-demand appliances
  • Deteriorating service entrance cables

HEP Company performs voltage drop tests, inspects branch circuits, and tightens or replaces faulty connections to eliminate flickering issues.

GFCI and AFCI Malfunctions

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs) and Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCIs) safeguard against deadly shocks and arc-related fires. When these devices fail to reset or trip repeatedly, HEP Company evaluates:

  • Moisture ingress in outdoor or bathroom receptacles
  • Loose neutral or ground conductors
  • Improper wiring practices during past renovations

Prompt repair or replacement of these safety devices restores critical protection for occupants.

Surge Damage from Storms and Utility Fluctuations

Benton’s seasonal storms can introduce voltage spikes capable of destroying electronics and appliances. HEP Company installs whole-home surge protection and replaces surge-damaged components.

HEP Company’s Electrical Repair Process

Transparency and attention to detail are hallmarks of HEP Company’s workflow.

Initial Assessment

  • Visual inspection of panels, outlets, fixtures, and visible wiring
  • Infrared scanning to detect hotspots behind walls
  • Voltage and amperage measurements under load
  • Evaluation of grounding and bonding integrity

Root-Cause Diagnosis

Rather than replacing parts blindly, HEP Company traces symptoms back to primary faults—whether loose lugs at the main service disconnect or corrosion in a junction box hidden in the attic.

Repair Implementation

  • Removal of damaged wiring and devices
  • Installation of UL-listed replacement components
  • Torque verification of all terminations
  • Metered verification that voltage and current fall within manufacturer tolerances

Post-Repair Testing

  • Circuit energization and load simulation
  • GFCI/AFCI push-button validation
  • Optional power quality logging to monitor for harmonic distortion or sags

Documentation

Upon job completion, clients receive a detailed repair summary including:

  • Components replaced
  • Test results
  • Recommendations for future preventive maintenance
