Our eleven-year-old heating and air conditioning system failed early in the Summer. We called HEP and after some discussion with their advisors we decided to invest in a state-of-the-art HVAC system manufactured by Trane and sold through HEP. It was installed quickly and efficiently and without delay by HEP service men. Part of the attraction was the Warranty offered by HEP which included a three-year-maintenance-and inspection-agreement on all household plumbing and electrical equipment, as well as a full ten-year-parts-and-labor Warranty on the HVAC system itself. Subsequently, we required service on our hot-tub and HEP's response ( from serviceman Richie) was quick, professional, and reasonable. We found him to be courteous and helpful. The problem turned out to be minor and we were only charged accordingly and fairly. We intend to continue to be HEP customers for all of our plumbing, electrical, and HVAC needs for the foreseeable future.

Harness the Power of the Sun in Old Fort

The rolling foothills surrounding Old Fort receive an impressive number of sunny days each year, turning rooftops, fields, and unused commercial space into potential clean-energy goldmines. Residents and business owners alike are looking for a reliable partner who can translate those bright rays into dependable kilowatt-hours. HEP Company delivers exactly that through end-to-end electrical solar installation services designed for long-term performance, safety, and sustainability.

Who Is HEP Company?

HEP Company is a multidisciplinary electrical contractor specializing in photovoltaic (PV) systems. Every project handled by the team is engineered to meet rigorous technical standards while embracing the unique architectural styles and environmental conditions found in Old Fort. From compact residential arrays to large commercial systems, HEP focuses on one mission: connecting the community to clean, renewable power with precision craftsmanship and unwavering integrity.

Comprehensive Electrical Solar Installation Services

HEP integrates multiple disciplines—electrical engineering, structural design, energy optimization, and project management—into a cohesive service package.

Site Assessment and Feasibility Studies

A successful solar project starts with data. Technicians visit the property to evaluate:

  • Solar irradiation specific to roof angle or ground location
  • Shading patterns produced by nearby trees, chimneys, or topographical features
  • Structural load capacity of rafters, trusses, or ground mounts
  • Electrical panel capacity and any necessary upgrades

This granular information feeds into production forecasts, ensuring system sizing and cost-benefit analyses remain accurate.

Custom System Design

HEP’s in-house engineers craft tailored system schematics that include module alignment, inverter placement, conduits, and connection points. Emphasis is placed on:

  • Maximizing south-facing exposure where possible
  • Reducing line losses through optimized cable routing
  • Incorporating future scalability for battery or capacity additions
  • Aesthetic integration with shingles, metal roofing, or façade materials

State-of-the-art design software simulates annual energy yields, giving property owners transparent insight into performance expectations.

Professional Electrical Integration

Solar hardware must interface seamlessly with existing electrical infrastructure. HEP electricians:

  • Calculate conductor and breaker sizes for National Electrical Code (NEC) compliance
  • Install rapid shutdown devices for firefighter safety
  • Employ surge protection to guard sensitive electronics
  • Configure metering equipment for utility interconnection

Every wire, lug, and junction box is labeled, torqued, and documented.

High-Efficiency Panel Installation

Only Tier-1 panels with proven degradation rates and robust warranties are selected. Mounting systems are engineered to endure local wind loads and seasonal snowfall. Installation crews deploy:

  • Roof-penetrating flashings with watertight seals
  • Corrosion-resistant aluminum or galvanized steel racking
  • Precise torque settings to eliminate over-compression of roof materials

Testing, Commissioning, and Verification

Before energizing, the team conducts:

  • Insulation resistance testing
  • Ground continuity checks
  • Inverter start-up procedures
  • Performance ratio benchmarking against design models

A final commissioning report provides baseline metrics for future maintenance.
