What our customers say

We had a very old water heater that broke down. I called at 7:30 am and had a technician come out by 9:00 am to assess the problem. By that evening, we had a new water heater installed. There was an issue with an electrical short in the wiring, but another technician came by quickly to fix the problem. Mark Welch, Tommy, and Jennie were prompt, kind, and offered great service. We utilized the loyalty to program to save on our new water heater. I will definitely use HEP again in the future!

We called Tuesday and got an appointment Wednesday morning to get several faucets repaired. Tommy arrived at my grandmother’s home early this morning and did such an amazing job of explaining and fixing the issues we were having. Now we have new faucets that are working perfectly! We also signed up for the loyalty membership so that we can get a free estimate for any plumbing or electrical issue. Thank you, Tommy, for your 5 star service and taking care of my grandmother.

Our heating and air unit went out in the fall. We had a few different companies look at it. They were SO overpriced. We decided to call today and see what our options were. To say amazing is an understatement!! Eric Welch was here same day! He was professional, kind, and friendly. He was able to work it out to where we will have a new unit installed Friday! He said they could do it tomorrow, but because of the upcoming storm's, I asked He wait unti the next day. I didn't realize how any services they offered. We will be life long customer's. Next project will be whole home electrical, and without a doubt we will be using them. Best company around!

Harness the Power of the Sun in Old Fort

The rolling foothills surrounding Old Fort receive an impressive number of sunny days each year, turning rooftops, fields, and unused commercial space into potential clean-energy goldmines. Residents and business owners alike are looking for a reliable partner who can translate those bright rays into dependable kilowatt-hours. HEP Company delivers exactly that through end-to-end electrical solar installation services designed for long-term performance, safety, and sustainability.

Who Is HEP Company?

HEP Company is a multidisciplinary electrical contractor specializing in photovoltaic (PV) systems. Every project handled by the team is engineered to meet rigorous technical standards while embracing the unique architectural styles and environmental conditions found in Old Fort. From compact residential arrays to large commercial systems, HEP focuses on one mission: connecting the community to clean, renewable power with precision craftsmanship and unwavering integrity.

Comprehensive Electrical Solar Installation Services

HEP integrates multiple disciplines—electrical engineering, structural design, energy optimization, and project management—into a cohesive service package.

Site Assessment and Feasibility Studies

A successful solar project starts with data. Technicians visit the property to evaluate:

  • Solar irradiation specific to roof angle or ground location
  • Shading patterns produced by nearby trees, chimneys, or topographical features
  • Structural load capacity of rafters, trusses, or ground mounts
  • Electrical panel capacity and any necessary upgrades

This granular information feeds into production forecasts, ensuring system sizing and cost-benefit analyses remain accurate.

Custom System Design

HEP’s in-house engineers craft tailored system schematics that include module alignment, inverter placement, conduits, and connection points. Emphasis is placed on:

  • Maximizing south-facing exposure where possible
  • Reducing line losses through optimized cable routing
  • Incorporating future scalability for battery or capacity additions
  • Aesthetic integration with shingles, metal roofing, or façade materials

State-of-the-art design software simulates annual energy yields, giving property owners transparent insight into performance expectations.

Professional Electrical Integration

Solar hardware must interface seamlessly with existing electrical infrastructure. HEP electricians:

  • Calculate conductor and breaker sizes for National Electrical Code (NEC) compliance
  • Install rapid shutdown devices for firefighter safety
  • Employ surge protection to guard sensitive electronics
  • Configure metering equipment for utility interconnection

Every wire, lug, and junction box is labeled, torqued, and documented.

High-Efficiency Panel Installation

Only Tier-1 panels with proven degradation rates and robust warranties are selected. Mounting systems are engineered to endure local wind loads and seasonal snowfall. Installation crews deploy:

  • Roof-penetrating flashings with watertight seals
  • Corrosion-resistant aluminum or galvanized steel racking
  • Precise torque settings to eliminate over-compression of roof materials

Testing, Commissioning, and Verification

Before energizing, the team conducts:

  • Insulation resistance testing
  • Ground continuity checks
  • Inverter start-up procedures
  • Performance ratio benchmarking against design models

A final commissioning report provides baseline metrics for future maintenance.

The HEP Installation Process Step by Step

Initial Consultation

An energy consultant gathers utility bills, discusses consumption habits, and outlines objectives such as grid independence or net-metered savings.

Technical Survey

Laser rangefinders, drones, and shade analysis tools map pitches and obstacles. Electrical panels are opened for load calculations and breaker inventory.

Engineering and Permitting

HEP liaises with local authorities to submit:

  • Structural calculations

  • Wind and snow load certifications

Permits are tracked through every municipal checkpoint until final approval.

Procurement of Premium Components

A vetted supply chain guarantees delivery of:

  • High-efficiency monocrystalline modules
  • String, micro, or hybrid inverters matched to shading profiles
  • UV-resistant conductors and weatherproof junction boxes

Installation Phase

Crews arrive with lift equipment, fall-arrest systems, and pre-assembled wiring harnesses to minimize on-site disruption. Work typically concludes within days for residential arrays and weeks for larger ventures.

Quality Assurance and Sign-Off

A designated project manager audits workmanship against a 50-point checklist. Only after passing these internal standards does HEP schedule utility witness testing and interconnection.
