FAQs
How does your transparent pricing model work for electrical repairs in Rutledge?
Before any tools come out of the truck, our technician performs a thorough on-site evaluation and builds a line-item estimate on a tablet. Every task—diagnostics, labor time, parts, permits, disposal—is shown with its individual cost so you can see exactly where every dollar goes. Once you approve the estimate, that price is locked in; there are no hidden fees tacked on at the end of the job.
Do you charge a service-call or trip fee in addition to the repair cost?
Yes. We charge a modest $49 diagnostic/trip fee that covers the licensed electrician’s travel to your Rutledge address and a full safety inspection of the affected circuit. If you approve the repair while we’re on site, that fee is automatically credited toward the total cost, so you never pay it twice.
Will I receive a written estimate before any work begins, and is that estimate binding?
Absolutely. You’ll get a digital, itemized quote that you can review and sign on the spot or via e-mail. Once you sign, the price is binding as long as the scope of work does not change. If we uncover an unforeseen issue—such as damaged wiring inside a wall—we pause, show you photos or video, and present a no-obligation change order before moving forward.
Are parts and labor under warranty, and are permitting or inspection fees included in the price?
All replacement parts come with the manufacturer’s warranty, and we add our own 2-year labor guarantee on top. If the job requires a Rutledge or Morgan County electrical permit, the cost of the permit and the final inspection by the county AHJ are included in the quote you approve, so there are no surprise municipal fees later.
What could cause the quoted price to change after work starts, and how will I be informed?
The only time a price changes is when hidden conditions are discovered—such as aluminum branch-circuit wiring behind drywall or a failed breaker panel that was not accessible during the initial visit. If that happens, we stop, document the findings with photos, and present you with options and pricing updates. No additional work is performed without your signed approval.
Do you offer flat-rate pricing for common electrical repairs, and what payment options are available?
Yes. We have flat rates for popular tasks such as GFCI outlet replacement, light-fixture installation, ceiling-fan upgrades, and breaker swaps. Those prices are posted on our website and in the technician’s pricing book. We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, and offer 0% interest financing on repairs over $750 (subject to credit approval).
