FAQs
What counts as a plumbing emergency and do you operate 24/7 in Manchester?
A plumbing emergency is any situation that risks property damage, health, or loss of essential services—such as burst pipes, major leaks, overflowing toilets, sewage back-ups, boiler breakdowns, or no running water. Our Manchester team is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including bank holidays, so you can reach us any time an urgent issue arises.
How fast can an emergency plumber get to my home or business in Manchester?
Because we have engineers based across Greater Manchester, our average arrival time is 30–60 minutes for addresses inside the M60 and around 60–90 minutes for outer boroughs. When you call, our dispatcher will give you a live ETA and keep you updated en route.
Are your emergency plumbers qualified, insured, and DBS-checked?
Yes. All of our engineers hold NVQ Level 2 or 3 in plumbing and heating, are Gas Safe registered for any gas-related work, and carry full public liability insurance up to £5 million. Every technician is also DBS-checked for your peace of mind and wears company-branded ID on arrival.
How much will an emergency call-out cost and will I know the price before work starts?
We charge a fixed call-out fee that covers the first hour of labour; this is clearly stated during the initial phone consultation. After the first hour, we bill in 15-minute increments to keep costs transparent. Parts are quoted separately and you’ll receive a written estimate on site before any repair is carried out—no hidden extras, no weekend or night-time surcharges.
Do your vans carry spare parts so the repair can be completed on the first visit?
Our service vehicles are stocked with the most common valves, washers, fittings, pipe sizes, isolation kits, and emergency boiler components. In roughly 85 % of call-outs we can complete the repair immediately. If a specialist part is required, we’ll make the system safe, source the item from our local supplier network, and return at the earliest convenient time at no additional call-out charge.
Is your workmanship guaranteed after an emergency repair?
Absolutely. All labour is backed by a 12-month workmanship guarantee, and manufacturer warranties apply to any parts we install. If the same fault reoccurs within the guarantee period due to our workmanship, we will return and rectify it free of charge.
