FAQs

Why should I consider a water-purification system for my home or business in Gruetli-Laager?

Many private wells and municipal lines in the South Cumberland Plateau contain elevated levels of hardness minerals, iron, sulfur, and occasional biological contaminants. These can stain fixtures, shorten the life of appliances, and affect taste and odor. A professionally designed purification system removes these impurities, protects your plumbing, and provides clean, great-tasting water for drinking, cooking, and bathing.

What kinds of purification or filtration systems do you install?

Our team offers point-of-entry (whole-house) and point-of-use solutions, including sediment pre-filters, water softeners, catalytic carbon filters for chlorine/chloramine, iron and sulfur removal units, UV disinfection for bacteria, and reverse-osmosis (RO) drinking-water stations. We recommend a system—or combination of systems—based on a detailed water analysis and your family’s usage requirements.

How do you test my water and determine which system I need?

We begin with an on-site visit to collect water samples from the kitchen tap and the source line. In our mobile lab we test for hardness, pH, iron, manganese, sulfur, total dissolved solids (TDS), and coliform bacteria. If any results require lab verification, we send samples to a state-certified facility. Once we have the data, we explain the findings in plain language and present system options, performance expectations, and cost estimates.

How long does installation take, and will it interrupt my daily routine?

Most whole-house systems are installed in four to six hours. We schedule work at your convenience, shut off the main briefly while we tie into the plumbing, and test the system before leaving. For larger homes or multiple treatment stages, installation may extend to a full day. We protect floors with drop cloths, clean up thoroughly, and haul away packaging and any old equipment.

What maintenance is required, and do you offer service plans?

Routine care includes replacing pre-filter cartridges every 3–6 months, replenishing softener salt or potassium pellets, sanitizing RO holding tanks annually, and changing RO membranes every 2–3 years. UV lamps need annual replacement. We offer affordable service memberships that include scheduled filter changes, system sanitization, and performance checks. Members receive priority scheduling and discounts on parts.

Are your systems certified and do they come with warranties?

Yes. All filtration components carry NSF/ANSI certifications for their specific contaminant reductions, and our reverse-osmosis units are tested to NSF Standard 58. Tanks, valves, and electronics are warranted by the manufacturer for 5–10 years, depending on the model. Our labor is guaranteed for one year, and extended labor warranties are available through our service plans.
