FAQs
What types of roofing services do you offer in Bristol?
Our team covers the full spectrum of roofing work, including new roof installations (slate, tile, fibreglass, EPDM rubber and GRP flat roofs), complete re-roofs, leadwork, chimney repairs, fascia and soffit replacement, guttering, roof inspections and emergency leak call-outs. Whether your project is domestic, commercial or heritage, we have specialists experienced in the relevant techniques and materials.
Are your roofers fully qualified and insured?
Yes. Every roofer on our Bristol team holds NVQ or City & Guilds roofing qualifications, is trained in Working at Height regulations and carries up-to-date CSCS cards. We maintain £5 million public liability and £10 million employers’ liability insurance, so your property and our workforce are fully protected throughout the project.
How much does a new roof or repair typically cost?
Costs depend on roof size, pitch, access, chosen materials and the complexity of the work. As a guide, small slate repairs start from around £150, while a standard three-bed semi-detached re-roof in concrete tiles is usually £5,000–£8,000. Flat roofs range from £60–£110 per m² depending on whether you choose felt, EPDM or GRP. We provide a free, no-obligation survey and a fixed detailed quotation so you know the exact cost before work begins.
How long will my roofing project take to complete?
Minor repairs can often be finished the same day. A typical re-roof on an average-sized house takes 4–7 working days, while larger or more intricate projects may require two weeks or more. We supply you with a realistic programme before starting, keep you updated daily and always work to minimise disruption to your household or business.
Do you offer workmanship guarantees?
Absolutely. All new pitched roofs come with a 15-year workmanship guarantee, and flat roofs with a 10-year guarantee. In addition, many of the manufacturers we are approved installers for—such as Redland, Marley, Firestone and Cure It—provide product warranties of up to 30 years. Guarantee certificates are issued on completion and are fully transferable should you sell your property.
Can you help with planning permission and building regulations?
Most like-for-like roof replacements don’t require planning permission, but there are exceptions, especially for listed buildings and properties in conservation areas around Bristol. Building regulations, however, nearly always apply because thermal performance and structural standards must be met. We handle all necessary notifications, arrange inspections with Bristol City Council Building Control and supply you with the final completion certificate for your records.
