FAQs

What types of electrical diagnostic tools do your technicians use?

Our licensed electricians arrive with industry-leading instruments such as digital multimeters, clamp meters, megohm (insulation-resistance) testers, circuit tracers, thermal imaging cameras and portable RCD testers. These tools allow us to pinpoint voltage drops, loose connections, overloaded circuits, hidden shorts and insulation faults quickly and accurately, reducing guesswork and saving you time and money.

How quickly can you perform an on-site electrical diagnostic in Athens?

For most Athens metro districts we can schedule same-day service if you call before 11:00, and next-day visits for calls received later. Emergency fault-finding is available 24/7, with an average arrival time of 60–90 minutes. All vans carry the full diagnostic toolkit so the assessment starts immediately upon arrival.

Do I need to turn off my power before your team arrives for troubleshooting?

No. In many cases we need the circuit energised to trace live faults. When safe isolation is required, our electricians will switch off and lock out the affected circuit themselves. We only ask that you keep the area around the consumer unit and suspect outlets clear so our technicians can work efficiently.

How much does a typical electrical fault diagnosis cost and is the quote free?

A standard diagnostic call-out within Athens costs €40, which includes up to 30 minutes of testing. Complex systems or large properties may require additional time billed at €25 per 15-minute block. You receive a written fault report and a fixed-price repair quote at no extra charge. If you approve the repair, the initial €40 is deducted from the final invoice.

Are your diagnostic services compliant with Greek and EU safety regulations?

Absolutely. All procedures follow the ΕΛΟΤ HD 384 and IEC 60364 standards for low-voltage installations. Our instruments are calibrated annually and our electricians hold valid ΗΕΔΗ (Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator) licences plus CEIDPP (European Inspection, Diagnostics & Preventive Practice) certification. You will receive test results and documentation suitable for insurance or DEDDIE submissions.

What happens after the diagnostic—can you complete the repair on the same visit?

In roughly 80 % of cases we carry common replacement parts—breakers, sockets, RCDs, lighting ballasts, cables—so repairs can be completed immediately after troubleshooting. If specialised components or panel upgrades are required, we provide a parts list, order them through our Athens warehouse and return within 24–48 hours to finish the job. All work is backed by a two-year workmanship warranty.
