We’re in process of selling our current home and we got “dinged” on a minor electrical issue during the inspection. Called to try to get someone out, they got me on the schedule very quickly. Adam, the tech, showed up on time, and addressed the issue very quickly. he explained my options to me, before doing any work and provided me a cost. The cost came in under what I was expecting, which is always a good thing. Extremely polite and professional. We are moving to a new home in the area, and we definitely will be using this company for our maintenance needs in the future

Lighting Design Principles Applied by HEP

Thoughtful lighting design elevates a space from adequate to exceptional. HEP applies industry-recognized principles to achieve balanced illumination that feels natural and intuitive.

Layered Lighting Approach

  • Ambient lighting establishes overall brightness and shadows.
  • Task lighting targets specific work areas such as countertops or desks.
  • Accent lighting highlights artwork, architectural details, or merchandise displays.
  • Decorative lighting introduces personality through statement pieces and colour.

By blending layers, HEP prevents glare, eliminates dark corners, and allows occupants to fine-tune the mood for different activities.

Colour Rendering and Temperature Considerations

Proper colour rendering index (CRI) ensures that fabrics, finishes, and signage appear true-to-life. The team recommends:

  • 90+ CRI LEDs for retail and residential applications where appearance is critical.

  • Neutral 3500 K to 4000 K for offices, balancing alertness with comfort.
  • Cool 5000 K to 6500 K for manufacturing or inspection bays that demand clarity and attention to detail.

Emergency and Exit Lighting Compliance in Wartburg

Regulatory bodies mandate reliable egress illumination during power outages. HEP installs and maintains systems that:

  • Provide a minimum of 10 lux along escape routes.
  • Include self-testing battery packs and status indicators.
  • Feature photoluminescent or LED exit signage visible through smoke.
  • Interface with central fire panels for automatic fault reporting.

Regular testing schedules, recorded in maintenance logs, keep properties inspection-ready and occupants protected.

Specialty Fixture Installations and Custom Fabrication

Certain projects demand one-of-a-kind solutions. HEP collaborates with metalworkers, glass artisans, and lighting designers to deliver custom fixtures such as:

  • Hand-blown pendant clusters for hospitality lobbies.
  • IP-rated luminaires integrated into fountain features.
  • Linear LEDs concealed within millwork for seamless architectural lines.
  • Colour-changing façade lighting synchronized to event schedules.

Custom builds follow the same rigorous electrical standards as off-the-shelf products, ensuring longevity and safety.

Electrical Panel Considerations for Fixture Loads

Adding or upgrading fixtures increases demand on existing electrical infrastructure. HEP evaluates:

  • Panel capacity and available breaker slots.
  • Load balancing across phases to prevent voltage drop.
  • Arc-fault and ground-fault protection requirements.
  • Surge protection devices to safeguard sensitive LED drivers and smart controls.

When necessary, panel upgrades or sub-panels are incorporated into the project scope to maintain headroom for future expansions.
