FAQs

What are the benefits of upgrading my plumbing pipes?

Upgrading your plumbing pipes can offer various benefits such as improved water pressure, better water quality, and reduced risk of leaks or pipe bursts. Newer materials are also more resistant to corrosion, potentially extending the lifespan of your plumbing system.

How do I know if I need to upgrade my plumbing pipes?

Signs that you may need to upgrade your plumbing pipes include frequent leaks, discolored water, reduced water pressure, and visible corrosion on exposed pipes. Additionally, if your home is over 50 years old and still has its original plumbing, it might be time to consider an upgrade.

What types of piping materials are available for upgrades?

Common piping materials include copper, PEX (cross-linked polyethylene), and CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride). Each has its advantages: copper is durable and long-lasting, PEX is flexible and easy to install, and CPVC is resistant to scale and chlorine. Your choice depends on your specific needs and budget.

What is the typical cost of a plumbing pipe upgrade in Rogersville?

The cost of a plumbing pipe upgrade can vary widely based on the size of your home, the materials chosen, and the complexity of the installation. On average, homeowners can expect to spend between $2,000 and $15,000 for a complete upgrade. For a more accurate estimate, it's best to get a detailed quote from a local plumbing professional.

How long does it take to upgrade plumbing pipes in a typical home?

The duration of a pipe upgrade project depends on the size of your home and the scope of work. Generally, it can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. A professional plumber will be able to provide a more specific timeline after assessing your property's needs.

Do I need a permit to upgrade my plumbing pipes in Rogersville?

Yes, you typically need a permit to conduct significant plumbing work, including pipe upgrades, in Rogersville. Obtaining the necessary permits ensures that the work meets local building codes and safety standards. Your plumbing contractor can usually assist with the permit application process.

I would reccomend HEP to anyone needing repairs around their home. We called them after struggling for several days to locate a severe leak in our main water line. They came out and completely redid our entire water line in less than 2 days from the initial call. During the process we met with 4 different employees (Tommy, Mathew, Jimmy, unfortunately i didnt catch the last man's name) all of which were very polite and professional. They answered every question we had and worked very well with us on not digging up our entire yard to install the new line. They even covered their shoes so as not to track our basement when they finished the install and reattachment of the line. For sure would use this company again if needed.

Amazing company in every aspect! I needed a full line replacement of 90ft from my water meter to my house. Never had any experience in dealing with this. Contacted HEP, and they walked me through every step along the way. The technician who came to evaluate the problem was pleasant and knew his stuff. (Corbin) HEP was in constant contact with me about everything, and contacted me afterwards to make sure things were done up to par. (Raeshel) They arrived on time, went above and beyond my expectations, and preserved my property. (Billy and Stephen) Will be recommending this company to all my friends!

David was my tech. The man was very professional and answered all my question. I highly recommend using this company for home repair needs. David fixed the leak that I called for and I even found another leak while David was there and he would have fixed it but didn't have the part, which is understandable since it was not the repair I called for. He help set up another appointment for the repair for the second leak for the next day to insure it would get done in a timely manner. Thanks David !!!
