FAQs

What kinds of electrical fixtures do you design and install in the Philadelphia area?

We handle the full spectrum of residential and light–commercial fixtures, including recessed and track lighting, designer chandeliers, smart ceiling fans, under-cabinet LEDs, outdoor security lighting, EV-charger outlets, and custom-fabricated decorative pieces. Every product we specify is UL- or ETL-listed and compatible with the 120/240-V systems common in Philadelphia properties.

How is your “innovative design” approach different from a typical electrical contractor’s?

Our team blends licensed electricians with lighting designers and BIM/3-D modelers. Before any wiring is run, we create a photometric layout to show real-world light levels, energy use, and fixture aesthetics. Clients can preview finishes and beam spreads in virtual-reality walkthroughs, allowing tweaks before installation. This prevents costly change orders and ensures the final look aligns with your architectural vision.

Do your projects meet Philadelphia’s electrical and building codes?

Yes. We follow the current Philadelphia Electrical Code—an amended version of the 2017 NEC—as well as Title 4 of the Philadelphia Code for building permits. Our master electrician secures all required permits, schedules inspections with L&I, and coordinates any PECO service upgrades. You receive a Certificate of Approval upon completion, which is essential for resale and insurance purposes.

Can you incorporate energy-efficient and smart-home technologies?

Absolutely. We offer high-efficiency LED fixtures (80+ CRI, 50,000-hour rated life), daylight-harvesting sensors, and ENERGY STAR-certified dimmers. For smart homes, we integrate Lutron CasĂŠta, Leviton Decora Smart, or Philips Hue systems that can be voice-controlled via Alexa, Google, or Apple HomeKit. Many of these upgrades qualify for PECO rebates, and we handle the paperwork for you.

What is the typical timeline and workflow for a fixture design–build project?

1) Discovery (1–2 days): Site visit, load calculations, style preferences. 2) Concept & photometric design (3–5 business days). 3) Permit submission and material procurement (1–3 weeks, depending on L&I). 4) Rough-in wiring (1–4 days, project size dependent). 5) Fixture installation & commissioning (1–3 days). 6) Final inspection and client walkthrough. Most single-family projects finish in 3–6 weeks from contract signing.

Do you offer warranties and post-installation support?

Yes. All labor is covered by a 2-year workmanship warranty, and fixtures carry the manufacturer’s warranty—typically 5 years for LEDs and 1 year for mechanical components like fans. We provide a complimentary 90-day check-up to recalibrate dimmers, tighten terminations, and answer usage questions. Optional annual maintenance plans include infrared panel scans to detect loose connections and discounted service rates.
